DENTAL CARE INFORMATION AND SERVICES

ROOT CANAL THERAPY

Inside each tooth is the pulp, which provides nutrients and nerves to the tooth. When the pulp is diseased or injured, the pulp tissue dies; if you don't remove it, your tooth gets infected and you could lose it. After we remove the pulp, the root canal is cleaned and sealed off to protect it. Then we can place a post and a crown over the tooth to help make it stronger and give back the function and the esthetics to the tooth. For more information or to make an appointment please click here: E-Mail

BRUXISM

The first signs of grinding, or bruxism, can be a dull headache or a sore jaw. Further symptoms could be painful, loose or noticeably worn teeth. That’s because tooth grinding literally grinds away parts of the teeth, leaving the patient with fractured tooth enamel, chipped, or even broken teeth. We can fit you with a mouth guard to protect your teeth from grinding during sleep. We may not able to eliminate all stress, but we can certainly help control its effects. For more information or to make an appointment please click here: E-Mail

DENTAL COSMETICS

A cosmetic restoration is “a reproducing a tooth for esthetic reasons, without the use of metal”. A cosmetic restoration may be any of the following:

-A porcelain veneer.

-An all-ceramic cap (full crown) that has no metal.

-An inlay (a tooth-colored filling).

-An onlay (a tooth-colored filling).

ORAL CANCER EXAMS

Each year more than ten thousand Americans die from oral cancer. Cancer can affect any part of your mouth, including your lip or tongue. Early detection can prevent its spread to lymph glands in the neck and increases the chances for effective treatment. The risk of oral cancer greatly increases in people over 40 years, with the use of tobacco products such as cigarettes, cigars, pipes and chewing tobacco particularly when combined with heavy alcohol use. We can do a examination for oral cancer detection. It is rapid, painless and no anesthesia is necessary. For more information or to make an appointment please click here: E-Mail

IMPLANTS

In general, anyone healthy enough to undergo routine tooth extraction or oral surgery is probably able to receive an implant. Age is not a factor. The time required for a complete treatment can be as little as few weeks to six or more months, depending on the type of implant and replacement teeth selected. Most implants procedures are performed in the dental office under local anesthesia. Many patients report implant surgery less troublesome than having teeth removed, with modern post operative care one can expect minimal discomfort. Implant are actually stronger then natural teeth; and make it possible for you to enjoy your favorite foods, improve your nutrition and your appearance. GUM DISEASE

Do you have gum disease? Your dentist may perform a deep clean to your teeth to remove plaque and tartar deposits beneath the gum line. If pockets between teeth and gums are deep, surgery may be needed. The root is cleaned and the gum sutured back into place. In severe cases, bone grafting may be required to rebuild damaged or destroyed bone. For more information or to make an appointment please click here: E-Mail
